The Display Multiplexer tab (or the Manage Display Settings page) lets you select which graphics processor (either integrated graphics or discrete GPU) to use to drive the display.

Automatic multiplexer switch: Select this option to let the driver automatically select the graphics processor to use based on the applications that are launched.
Only iGPU: Select this option to always use the integrated graphics. This option conserves power.
Only dGPU: Select this option to always use the discrete GPU. This option maximizes performance and lets you enable GPU features such as G-SYNC.
Select which graphics processor to use to drive the external display connected to the top left multiplexed display connector.
Automatic multiplexer switch: Select this option to let the driver automatically select the graphics processor to use based on whether AC or DC power is used. Integrated graphics is used when the notebook is running on battery (DC) power. The discrete GPU is used when the notebook is running on AC power. The switch occurs only when no display is connected.
Only iGPU: Select this option to always use the integrated graphics on the multiplexed port. This option conserves power.
Only dGPU: Select this option to always use the discrete GPU on the multiplexed port. This option maximizes performance and lets you enable GPU features such as G-SYNC. This setting is recommended only when using AC power.
