The resize HDTV controls appear on the Adjust Desktop Size and Position page when you click the icon that represents your HD display.
You can resize the desktop appearing on your HDTV screen if your desktop is extending beyond the viewable display area or the desktop or image is not filling the entire display area. You can also use the HDTV panning feature to pan an image that may be using your HDTV's native resolution to see the areas that extend beyond your display area or resize the desktop in other ways to suit your viewing needs.
The new resolution is applied and also added to the list of resolutions for this display in the Change Resolutions page. The resolution is also added to the resolution list within the game or application where you can select it the next time you play the game.
Select the desktop resizing mode reported to the display: (Applies only to HDMI monitors (not treated as DVI) and GPUs that support AVI infoframes.) This setting determines the desktop resizing mode the driver reports to the display. The display will then apply its own resizing based on internal algorithms.
Resize Desktop button launches the Resize HDTV Desktop window where you can resize the desktop on your HDTV screen. The image on the right shows a preview of the full-screen resizing window with one horizontal slider and one vertical slider you can use to adjust the desktop size.
