NVIDIA RTX Enterprise Production Branch Driver

Release 550 is a Production Branch release of the NVIDIA RTX Enterprise Driver. Production Branch drivers are designed and tested to provide long-term stability and availability. These drivers are ideal for enterprise customers and professional users who require application and hardware certification and regular driver updates for the latest in driver enhancements and security improvements.

In addition to professional workstation features, Production Branch drivers also contain the features and enhancements of NVIDIA Studio Drivers of the same version number.

Version 551.23 incorporates the latest bug fixes and driver component enhancements to improve performance, including the following:

  • TensorRT-LLM open source library added that accelerates and optimizes inference performance of latest LLMs on NVIDIA GPUs
  • Video TrueHDR — uses AI to enhance SDR to HDR tone mapping with greater color range and brightness levels
    • Requires Chrome or Edge browser
  • Bit Depth Expansion — adds quality improvement and enhanced coding efficiency to video codecs
  • Execute Indirect Extension NVAPI — offloads work from the CPU to the GPU
    • Access provided under NDA
  • CBL2 Support in OptiX — improves performance by reducing CPU overhead 
  • Video Super Resolution and TrueHDR Support Added to NGX SDK— support added for app integration of Video Super Resolution and TrueHDR
    • VSR improves video quality of low resolution sources
    • TrueHDR smartly converts SDR content into HDR content
  • Video Super Resolution support — adds support for Turing GPU architecture and later

Fixed Issues in Version R550 U1
  • [NVENC] Nvidia Encoder crashes upon opening
  • [MIG] Return MIG GPU instance information even if device is not in MIG mode
  • [QuadroSync II] R535 drivers do not produce an output signal via the BNC connector on Quadro Sync II
  • [ddisplay] configureDdisplay fails to remove a display from the desktop (if it has been returned to the desktop by the Microsoft slider)
  • [ddisplay] vkGetPhysicalDeviceDisplayPlanePropertiesKHR returns wrong plane information
  • [ddisplay] vkGetPhysicalDeviceDisplayPropertiesKHR() returns 0 ddisplays
  • [VSR][HDR]: For the 1080p Video stream, VSR is not in use when both VSR & Video HDR enabled
