ACE Technologies Showcased In First Game, Mecha BREAK

NVIDIA ACE is a revolutionary suite of digital human technologies that brings digital humans to life with generative AI. Since its debut at Computex 2023 in the Ramen Shop tech demo, ACE’s capabilities have evolved rapidly.

At Gamescom 2024, we announced our first digital human technologies on-device small language model improving the conversation abilities of game characters. We also announced that the first game to showcase these ACE and digital human technologies is Amazing Seasun Game’s Mecha BREAK, bringing its characters to life and providing a more dynamic and immersive gameplay experience on GeForce RTX AI PCs.

Mecha BREAK, developed by Amazing Seasun Games, a Kingsoft Corporation game subsidiary, has implemented the NVIDIA Nemotron-4 4B Instruct NIM running on-device in the first showcase of ACE-powered game interactions. Additionally, NVIDIA Audio2Face-3D NIM and Whisper, OpenAI’s automatic speech recognition model, provide facial animation and speech recognition running on device, while Elevenlabs powers the character’s voice through the cloud.

Mecha BREAK is a multiplayer mech game that allows players to choose from diverse mechs, customize appearances, and battle colossal war machines on treacherous terrain. In the ACE showcase demo, players can interact via natural language with game characters, most notably the player’s mechanic. Ask for advice on objectives, the ideal mech for the task, and more, before having their mech’s paint job quickly updated for maximum battlefield bling.

“We’re excited to showcase the power and potential of ACE NIMs in Mecha BREAK, using Audio2Face and NVIDIA Nemotron-4 4B Instruct to dramatically enhance in-game immersion,” said Kris Kwok, CEO of Amazing Seasun Games.

Mecha BREAK will launch in 2025, players can sign up for future playtests on the game’s Steam page. For a look at its action-packed gameplay enhanced with day one NVIDIA DLSS 3 support, check out our DLSS 3 gameplay reveal:

Black Myth: Wukong Out Now With DLSS 3 & Full Ray Tracing

Embark on a thrilling journey through Chinese mythology in Black Myth: Wukong, the long-awaited, much-anticipated action role-playing game from Game Science, which is out now! As the Destined One, explore a vast and enchanting world filled with challenges and jaw-dropping wonders. Discover hidden truths behind ancient legends and unveil secrets of a glorious past, enhanced by full ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS 3; use the power of the GeForce RTX 40 Series for an unparalleled PC experience.

NVIDIA has helped elevate Black Myth: Wukong’s graphics and technology to the highest levels. Lighting, effects and immersion are at their very best through the inclusion of realistic full ray tracing, otherwise referred to as path tracing. And the performance to enjoy and experience Black Myth: Wukong at the highest detail levels is delivered by AI powered DLSS 3.

Combined with the raw power of GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, and their AI Tensor Cores and Ray Tracing Cores, PC gamers can marvel at Black Myth: Wukong immersive visuals, and tackle its challenging enemies at fast, responsive frame rates. With GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs, you can enjoy a zero-compromise experience in Black Myth: Wukong.

Full ray tracing is a demanding but highly accurate way to render light and its effect on a scene. This advanced ray tracing technique is used by visual effects artists to create film and TV graphics that are indistinguishable from reality, but until the arrival of GeForce RTX GPUs with RT Cores, and the AI-powered acceleration of NVIDIA DLSS, full ray tracing in real-time video games was impossible.

In Black Myth: Wukong full ray tracing increases the fidelity and quality of lighting, reflections and shadows. Reflections on water reflect all surrounding detail. Water caustics add further realism, accurately rendering the refraction and reflection of light. Particles are reflected, making battles more dynamic and exciting. Fully ray-traced lighting ensures lighting indoors and outdoors is pixel perfect, darkening areas where light is occluded or doesn’t reach, and realistically illuminating the world by bouncing light. And in concert with the lighting system, contact hardening and softening fully ray traced shadows are cast everywhere, rendering the smallest of shadows from leaves and pebbles, and those from geometry-rich buildings, the main character, and the gigantic bosses that must be overcome.

Head on over to our Black Myth: Wukong launch article to learn even more about the game’s fully ray-traced effects, to see how it performs on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs using DLSS 3 with every setting maxed out. Be sure to also download our Black Myth: Wukong Game Ready Driver for the best possible day-1 experience.
