GeForce GRD 531.18 Feedback Thread (Released 2/28/23)
Ever since 531.18, I started getting blue screens after less than 10 mins into launching games with the code: video_fatal_error, whenever I'm playing any game that demands a lot like rainbow six siege, cod warzone, hitman, etc. I have tried the 531.26 hotfix and I noticed it just took a little longer to blue screen so that update isn't working for everybody unfortunately.
Also, I can't wirelessly connect to my other monitors for multiple extended displays at all. It gets stuck into constantly trying to connect to it. Sometimes it will stop, others I would have to manually click the disconnect button even though it never connected in the first place.
I have been able to connect to my monitors wirelessly before the 531.18 update.
After this update and the last one my 2nd screen which is 144hz on display port sometimes doesn't turn on in windows and i have to turn it off and back on again to get it working. Works fine after doing that but it happens every couple of restarts/shutdowns. Main screen is 165hz on display port. This even happens with the hotfix applied to fix the 10% CPU thing.
I can't seem to install this driver with the same technique that worked ok on 527.56. I am on Alienware M17X R4 with upgraded 980m and 527.56 installs fine when I edit the nvdmig.inf file with my card ID and disable driver signature enforcement on W11 22H2. However 531.18 fails to install using the same technique that worked on every single driver before. I am now getting an error about inpompatible Windows version/nvidia hardware not found. Does something else need editing with the latest driver version to be able to install it on the upgraded systems?
When I try to update to version 531.18 from 528.49, my video games close when the first white screen appears. I mean, in the exact moment that they are opening and creating and maximizing their window. If I return to 528.49, they work fine again. I tried Jurassic World Evolution (Steam), GTA III Definitive Edition (Steam), AC Unity (Ubisoft Launcher). I have detected that when I installed the new driver, I cannot access to the Nvidia Control Panel from the icon next to the clock, but it was still installed and working.
GPU: 3060 12GB (Zotac), no overclock
It looks like this driver had too many issue for everyone. Nvidia has released a new driver 531.29 WHQL:

Strange issue with this driver on RTX 3070. After I boot up my PC, I get random black boxes in the middle of both of my monitors. I guess this is called artifacting.
If I reboot my PC, it goes away. This has only happened once so far but I've read about others having this same issue with recent NVIDIA drivers and especially the 30-series graphics cards.
This does not happen in any games, I've only seen it happen on my desktop so far. That also seems to be a pattern of this particular issue. Please investigate.
