First you should look if the problem is hardware or software: - If your laptop overheats and the fans makes noesy sound make sure to loook lvia software the temperature of the Processor and the Graphic Card. - Make sure if you don't have some kind of corrupted files in your PC (including programs) -A better image of the Blue Screen will help with the solution by having the whole error code

Thanks for the reply. I wiped my computer and reinstalled windows last night and the issue is still there. I feel like this eliminates the possibly of it being a corrupted file. Is there a specific program you would recommend for temperature monitoring? I will try to get a better picture the next time it bule screens.

Well i don't know a specific program for the temperature but is very easy to find one, if the problem is the hardware you must change part of it. Sorry for replying late, i was out this days

I have the exact same laptop you have and the EXACT same problem you have. Only thing that stumps me is I can play Civ 5 without crashing, but EVE, WoT, and Valley Benchmark all crash my laptop. Things I have tried... Fresh install of Windows 7 with just drivers. Fresh install of Windows 8.1 with just drivers. The last 12 Nvidia drivers for my GPU (gtx 675m). Disabled TDR in registry. Increased TDR delay in registry. Repasted CPU and GPU My CPU temps remain around 50-60c while playing. GPU runs around 60-70c while playing. Everything seems to point to a hardware failure...until i tried Civ 5 on max settings with no crash for 6 hours.

It's fully recomendable to cpu be under 60-65 while playing (70ºC like max) GPU it's fine

My temps are under that. Is it possible for my router/wifi adapter to cause this?

Found the problem. When ever GPU would reach .92 volts it would crash. I used Nvidia Inspector to underclock the shader clock to 970MHz (random number) been bumping it up every few hours (+10MHz each time). No more crashing so far.

I have also been having this issue. It started happening while I was playing Hearthstone and not it happens during some other games too. The computer is 2 years old and I started having these issues the last few weeks. Windows 7 Home Premium Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM 2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz 12.0 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce GTX 675M Blue screen A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps: Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need. If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced startup options, and then select safe mode. A little while ago my gaming laptop started crashing to BSoD whenever I play a game that is even a little bit graphically demanding. Picture of BSoD: http://imgur.com/WA9fg6F My Specs: GeForce GTX 675M Intel i7 3610QM (2.30 GHz) 8 GB of RAM Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit My computer runs the games flawlessly until it crashes. It doesn't feel physically hot when it does crash, but it seems to be an overheating issue. Reducing the resolution and graphics options on games seems to help but I still get frequent crashes on games that I had no issue running in the past. I have tried out installing several different Nvidia drivers both through GeForce Experience and manually. I have opened up my laptop and cleaned out the whole thing with compressed air several times (and there wasn't much dust or anything in there in the first place). I bought a cooling pad and have the fan running on full blast constantly, all to no avail. If there is any info or advice that anyone can offer about how to fix this I would be extremely grateful! Thanks
