Thanks for your support guys! Finally someone who can prove that I'm not the only one. Can't believe Nvidia can't fix this since several driver versions.
Team red drivers are bad? Nowadays it seems exactly the opposite.

@airhammer Thanks for your feedback. I use 4k resolution. The TV does not support WQHD resolutions but I will try 1080p 120hz and will report back. I guess it's only in 4k.
Regarding syncronization mode - I use standard setting so no fast / adaptive snych or gsynch etc. (TV does not support it anyway)
Also no VRR - TV update for this feature has not been published yet.
Update:
It's working with 1080p and 120hz 4:4:4. As soon as it's 4k it's no more working.
As said with driver 472.12 it's working but to be on the safe side I also tried another HDMI 2.1 certified cable - stillt the same issue with newer driver. In my opinion it must be driver related.

Another update on my side - and maybe an indication that the TV could really be another cause of the issue:
If I use the new driver and change the HDMI input mode from enhanced to standard and then back to enhanced while windows has been booted up, there's no more flickering in 120hz 10bit 4:4:4. So it could be the TV or the driver that detects anything after the switch?.
On my side it's 100% reproducible. I will update my post in the Nvidia forum.

If needed I can provide a video that show the flickering and / or the horizontal line. Please let me know If I can do anything to help fixing this issue.

As said everything is alright regarding correct HDMI input (in this case slot 4), HDMI mode (enhanced mode) and certified HDMI 2.1 cable.
I have tested it with the PC directly connected to the TV - AVR is not in between and instead connected to port 3 (earc)
I'm also active in avsforums / reddit threads for Sony TVs. It seems all XH900, A80, X90J etc. (so all of them with the same Mediathek SoC) owners have this issue with Nvidia and newer drivers above 472.12 currently. My TV is also on the most up to date firmware.
The issues are also not there if I use the 120hz mode of my Xbox (only 4:2:2 color). Can't believe it's only a TV issue then... Maybe a mixture or only driver because as said 472.12 and earlier works.

Still exactly the same issue with these black screens / flickers after severall seconds. new studio driver was installed after DDU wipe. I´m using a X90J Sony TV with certified 2.1 hdmi cable and correct TV HDMI mode. Studio driver does not help - only going back to 472.12 or earlier solves it - OR changing refresh rate to 60hz instead of 120hz.
Edit: I´m using a RTX 3080. Flickers are occuring directly in Windows (Desktop and every programm). Disable MPO did not help - as the last times...
Edit 2: Sometimes when I restart the PC there´s no flickering but instead the pictures is distorted / does not fill out the TV and there´s a horizontal line in the middle of the screen where a part of the pictures gets stretched / distorted. I had this also with the previous drivers - only 472.12 and earlier is fixing that.
