Game Ready For Project CARS 2
If realistic sim racing is your jam, the well-reviewed Project CARS 2 may be the game for you. It includes over 180 cars, 46 tracks with over 120 layouts, day-night racing, dynamic weather that impacts handling, and much more. For details, check out this article, the official website, and our video below.
With over 20 cars on track at once, all rendered at ridiculous detail levels, plus luscious environments, astounding effects, and the aforementioned dynamic weather, Project CARS 2 pushes PCs to the limit when graphical presets are on High or above. Car numbers and visuals can of course be turned down, but if you want the full experience, developer Slightly Mad Studios recommends a GeForce GTX 1080, an i7-6700K, and 16GB of RAM.
In our own testing, we found the GeForce GTX 1070 delivered an excellent experience at a High level detail, running at over 100 frames per second on average, giving gamers plenty of headroom to up the resolution or increase graphical fidelity:
For info on the minimum and average frame rates recorded in our testing, at each resolution, head on over to our Project CARS 2 Recommended GPU article. And for full support of the game's 4K, 12K Surround, HDR and GameStream features, download and install the new Game Ready drivers.
