NVIDIA DLSS Coming To Unity, One of the World’s Most Popular Game Engines, Accelerating Adoption For More Games

Unity is one of the most popular game engines in the world. In 2019, Unity introduced support for real-time ray tracing, and before the end of this year Unity will be adding native support for NVIDIA DLSS as part of their High-Definition Render Pipeline.

If you’re unfamiliar with NVIDIA DLSS, it’s our AI-powered rendering technology that produces images comparable to and sometimes even better than native resolution, while only conventionally rendering a fraction of the pixels. For gamers that means significantly faster performance , without noticeable compromises.

40 games have introduced support to date, including Minecraft with RTX, Fortnite and Cyberpunk 2077, and new integrations are launching each month. With the addition of NVIDIA DLSS to Unity, game developers will be able to accelerate frame rates with minimal effort, giving GeForce RTX gamers superior experiences in ray-traced and rasterized games.
