Drones are being deployed for more and more advanced use cases. High-power computational hardware with the right software allows them to operate with a high level of autonomy and provide a lot of data processing on the edge to perform the desired task.
We'll cover Airvolute’s implementation of autonomous drones deployed for warehouse inventories. We'll cover application specifics, hardware requirements on the drone and its control system, the challenges the team faced, and the choices we made. We'll analyze the overall architecture, based on NVIDIA Jetson, Jetpack with related NVIDIA libraries, and ROS, combined with web-based user interface and remote server-based data processing. Finally, we'll discuss our experience from real-world deployment.
