Unreal Engine + RTX from a Filmmaker's Perspective
, HaZ Film
We'll show how today's real-time tools with RTX Power can enable indie filmmakers to tell high-concept stories that weren't previously possible without huge budgets, resources, and a big rendering farm. We'll begin with how a pilot proof-of-concept led the filmmaker to fall in love with real-time graphics, and how that project led to him being tapped to direct the animated feature film "Mutant Year Zero" (based on the acclaimed video game of the same name), and how it was created entirely inside Unreal Engine, and how RTX played a huge part in developing the look of the project to produce final pixel frames. We'll speak from the point of view of a hands-on director, and make the case that real-time tools and RTX are allowing filmmakers to focus on creativity and eliminate any technical fears that were once the big hurdle for diving into directing animation. We'll end with a Q&A session afterwards.
