NanoVDB: A GPU-Friendly and Portable VDB Data Structure for Real-Time Rendering and Simulation
, NVIDIA
This presentation targets developers and practitioners alike in the fields of physics-based simulations and computer graphics. We'll present NanoVDB, an efficient volumetric data structures, recently open sourced by NVIDIA. More specifically, we'll discuss its similarities and differences compared to OpenVDB, and give several examples of how NanoVDB has been applied to both real-time rendering and simulations of sparse volumes on the GPU.
