Deep Learning in Robotic Automation and Warehouse Logistics
, Osaro
Logistics automation has accelerated massively in the past year in response to both market fundamentals and the COVID-19 pandemic. This automation is powered by innovations in machine learning and deep learning. The data and compute needed to power machine learning for cameras, robotics, and other machinery requires GPUs as well as specialized infrastructure and integrations. In this talk, Michael Kahane, OSARO CTO and co-founder, will provide an overview of current and future robotics applications and the state of deployed machine learning. He'll discuss the range of compute and IT and sensor infrastructure in today's facilities (U.S. and global) and highlight challenges in deploying ML to the logistics edge. He will also discuss the data, data pipeline, compute infrastructure, and system architecture of these applications.
