This poster describes the detailed design of an autonomous sweeper prototype specifically for operating in a mixed indoor and outdoor environment. An electric sweeper was selected and retrofitted into an autonomous sweeper equipped with a drive-by-wire system, computer, and various sensors and actuators essential for autonomous driving. A complete autonomous driving software stack designed for sweeping tasks was developed and tested on the vehicle platform on the National University of Singapore campus.
