Autonomy has a lot to offer when it comes to the work we do outdoors and off-road, but the environmental and task-specific demands require a different approach than for indoor or on-road environments. We'll dive into why mowing autonomy is valuable and why a ground-up, Jetson-centered approach is the winning approach, and cover how Scythe approaches running its full sense-plan-act software suite on a single Jetson unit. We'll touch on some of the tools and approaches that have enabled us to move quickly to fielded units, and a few lessons learned along the way.
