A Balanced View of Climate-Change Data Production and User Requirements through Technological Developments
, Earth Sciences Department Director , Barcelona Supercomputing Center
Climate modeling has traditionally been a key data source for generating future climate information for both mitigation and adaptation. However, climate modeling has been traditionally disconnected from user requirements, with users finding themselves at the end of a long production chain. We'll discuss how recent developments in producing future climate information allow for a more balanced and efficient relationship between users and modelers.
